Using your PE and Sport Premium to fund a fencing experience!
Our Sword Fencing Days offer an exciting opportunity for primary schools to engage students in a unique sport that promotes physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork. In addition, they also align perfectly with the government's "PE and Sport Premium" objectives as follows:

-
Develop or add to the PE, sport and physical activity that the school provides
-
Offer a broader and more equal experience of a range of sports and physical activities to all pupils
-
Increasing participation in competitive sport (we offer medals for the best fencer in each class + an end of day "best fencer" trophy)
-
Providing targeted activities or support to involve and encourage the least active children
-
Helping to provide equal access for all pupils to the range of sports and physical activities that the school offers (our fencing is fully inclusive)
-
Provide or improve equal access to sport for boys and girls (pupils fence each other equally, whatever their gender)

In summary of the above, by introducing sword fencing, we can help increase the confidence, knowledge, and skills of your staff in teaching PE, while also boosting engagement among all pupils in regular physical activity. Our program raises the profile of PE and sport across the school, supporting whole school improvement. Additionally, it offers a broader and more equal experience of diverse sports, ensuring all students have access to engaging activities. Finally, sword fencing encourages participation in competitive sport, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork.
